sushi in salisbury

If you’re a fan of sushi and live in Salisbury NC, you’re in luck.  We’ve got some of the best sushi spots right here.  We were talking about this fact the other day at Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac and were sharing our favorite during a team meeting.  We thought we’d share our list with you.  If you have a favorite sushi spot, stop by 404 Jake Alexander Blvd. South and tell us about it!

Katana Japanese Fusion

We love Katana because they do everything right.  The sushi is great, they have the best customer service and everyone who works there is so nice.  It’s super affordable, too. Yes, they serve fresh sushi that’s wonderful, but they also serve healthy fusion meals.  A real winner.

475 Jake Alexander Blvd. West.

Bangkok Downtown

The sushi choices here are amazing, from the Yum Yum Roll and Star Fish Roll to the Eel Hand Roll and Boat Special.  They also serve Don (fish on top of rice) and Thai favorites like Tom Yum and Pad Thai. The lunch special is super affordable, with sushi specials from $8.99-$11.99 and Noodle dishes for $7.99.  It’s a real gem in Salisbury.

131 E. Innes St

Sabaidee Thai and Sushi Restaurant

This is another Team Auto favorite. They offer Sushi A La Carte for just $1.99 per item, including eel, tamago, crab and salmon.   They have a great spicy shrimp roll for $6.95 and wait until you taste their Double Red Dragon Roll. The Ladies Special includes a rainbow roll and five pieces of chef-selected sushi for just $15.95. And their lunch special is just $6.95!  Worth checking out!

Check Out The New 2018 GMC Terrain

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at 11:32 PM

Terrain 2018

The 2018 GMC Terrain is setting itself apart from other crossovers with its atypical styling, an available diesel engine and a wide range of model personalities.  At Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac, we really like the 2018 GMC Terrain and want you tell you all about it.

This year’s model has a much more interesting look, complete with revised grille designs, quote-shaped headlights and a floating roof.  It’s also 3.2 inches shorter than the 2017 model, an inch shorter in height and 350 pounds lighter in base form or 425 pounds lighter when comparing the range-topping engines with all-wheel drive.  It has migrated to the D2 global architecture as well. With a 34% stiffer body structure, the new Terrain offers an improved driving experience, too.  The Denali trim comes standard with a 252-hp 2.0 litre engine, the most powerful of the new turbocharged engines offered on the 2018 model.  The 2.0 litre engine is also available as an option on the midrange SLE and SLT trim levels.

The Terrain also has a new infotainment system that acts a lot like a smartphone.  It has scrolling capabilities and pinch-and-zoom maps, too.  GMC rearranged the main map screen from former renditions, so it’s easier to access important functions like cancelling the current route and changing the volume of the voice turn-by-turn directions.

The back seat is roomy and the interior is well appointed.  At Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac, we think you can’t go wrong with this compact crossover.

5 Signs You Need Brake Pads

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at 11:29 PM

Car maintenance can be tricky.  Sometimes you know exactly when to take your vehicle in to be serviced, and other times it can take you by surprise. Case in point: your brake pads.  When do you know they need to be checked out by a service expert?  At Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac our service technicians put together this list of what to watch out for.

Squealing

Do you hear a squealing noise when you’re driving?  Chances are you need new brake pads, especially if the squealing sound disappears when you put your foot on the brakes.  The sound is the

result of “wear indicators” that scrape against the rotor, creating the squealing noise.

Clicking

Most brake pads are kept steady with clips, bolts or pins. If they become loose, they will begin to rattle, creating a clicking noise.

Brake Fade

Brake fade is when you applying your brakes over a long distance without bringing your vehicle to a complete stop. If you do this frequently it will take a toll on your brakes. This causes the brake pads to make extended contact with the rotors which heats them up. That heat reduces friction and you’ll notice it when you try to stop.

Uneven Brake Wear

Brake pads don’t wear out evenly and one side usually wears out before the other.  This can cause your vehicle to pull slightly in one direction when you apply the brakes. If you feel this kind of pull, bring your vehicle in to see the experts at Team Auto, your Salibury Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac dealer

Vibrations

If you feel your brake pedal violently shaking whenever you step on it, get your brake pads checked out immediately. They’re typically held together with binding resin and as the brake pads wear down, the adhesive gets hot and smears across the rotor. Should it spread unevenly, your vehicle will vibrate.  Not a good thing.

Visit Us Today!

If you are noticing any of these issues with your brakes, bring your vehicle into Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac in Salisbury.

And if you need a new vehicle or Team used cars, we’re here to help you find the right one to fit your budget and your lifestyle.  Come see us today!

Tips For Safe Winter Driving From Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, October 23rd, 2017 at 11:28 PM

In Salisbury NC and the surrounding areas, we know that winter can wreak havoc on roads and driving conditions.  With winter on its way, the team at Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac thought it was a good idea to remind our friends and customers about how to stay safe while driving in inclement weather.

If You’re Driving In The Rain

  • Reduce your speed by 5-10 miles per hour.
  • Avoid driving through flooded areas. It hard to gauge the depth of water and you don’t want water to stall your engine.
  • If you start to hydroplane, don’t panic. Just lift your foot off of the gas and let your vehicle slow down until you feel like you’re in control.
  • Feather your brakes after you drive through a puddle and remove your foot from the gas pedal.

If You’re Driving In Foggy Conditions

  • Use your fog lights and if you don’t have them, use low beams.
  • Pump your brakes before entering fog in order to alert the drivers behind you to back off.
  • Slow down as you approach a hill, as you don’t know if a car has stopped on the other side because of the fog.

If You’re Driving on Snowy or Icy Roads

  • It’s wise to slow down about 10 miles per hour below the speed limit, and give yourself plenty of room to stop before you get to stop lights and stop signs. Black ice is dangerous! .
  • Do not use your brakes while turning.
  • Don’t tailgate and give yourself leave lots of room between you and the vehicle in front of you, in case the other driver tries to stop suddenly.
  • If you start to skid, turn into the skid and let your car correct itself.

Winterize Your Vehicle Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

The service experts at Team Auto Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac suggest that you bring your vehicle in for a winter maintenance checkup before the weather gets nasty.  We are the best Salisbury Chevrolet dealer and have great Team used cars.  We’ll help you find the right vehicle to fit your lifestyle and your budget.

Vehicle Mechanic – Check!

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at 11:49 PM

Who needs to go to the mechanic when you can do a lot of it from the convenience of your own home? And save some money, too! Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac knows most people dread when something goes wrong with their vehicle so Salisbury Chevrolet wanted to share two of the easiest things to fix yourself. Of course, always be careful and never work on a hot vehicle!

Replacing Your Battery

You can test your current battery with a charger or tester to make sure it’s actually dead. Any auto parts store should be able to do this for free as well. If it is in fact dead, start by unbolting the negative terminal. Then unbolt the positive followed by unplugging the ground wire, if there is one. Once you remove the battery you can connect the new one by reversing these steps. Always check for erosion, too, and clean it off with a metal brush.

Head- And Tail Light Replacement

If you notice a head- or tail light is out, check the owner’s manual to see what kind of bulb to get. Head to the parts store, where they can also help you figure out the type you need. You can replace the bulb right in the parking lot. Pop out the back side of the light housing, unplug the dead bulb and replace with the new one. Voila! Let there be light.

Get Things Done At Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

When it comes down to it, some people just don’t feel comfortable messing with maintenance on their own. And that’s okay! The Service Technicians here at Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac can get you in and out in a jiffy. Head to our website to schedule an appointment with Team Chevy and while you wait, feel free to check out our new and preowned vehicle inventory.

Are You Ready For The 2018 Buick Enclave?

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at 11:46 PM

Buick has recently introduced a new sub-brand called Avenir. The treatment will give its models more standard features, premium materials inside the cabin and more unique styling. If you’ve noticed, three-row crossover SUVs have become the new minivan, which Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac doesn’t mind. So, we’re thrilled to hear that the Enclave will be the first model getting this Avenir treatment.

Sharing With Chevy Traverse

A lot of manufacturers design new vehicles based on something that already exists. The Enclave Avenir is no different, as it shares an engine and platform with our Team Chevy Traverse. It will be a longer and wider luxury crossover than the last generation. Driving dynamics will be great and there’s more cabin space than before.

Here’s What The Enclave Avenir Has

The Engine – A 3.6-liter V6 delivering 266 lb-ft of torque, 310 hp and a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Drivetrain – Front-wheel drive comes standard but you can upgrade to a single clutch or twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system.

Interiors – Premium level shifter, leather and soft touch materials on the arm rests. The third row is easily accessible, thanks to SmartSlide second-row seats on both sides.

Get The Avenir Treatment At Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

Our Chevrolet dealer in NC is looking forward to welcoming the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir to our Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac lineup this fall. It will be available in four different trim levels and we’d love to show you what they’re all about! Schedule an appointment online or head on over to see us. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Take A Trip From Salisbury The Old Fashioned Way

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at 11:42 PM

If you’re up for an adventure but don’t know what to do, how about taking a trip the old fashioned way? Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac has plenty of options for modes of transportation but we highly recommend this old school approach for traveling outside of Salisbury Chevrolet. That’s right. We’re talking about a good ole train ride.

How Can We Help You, Sir?

The Salisbury Amtrak station is located at 215 Depot Street. The passenger waiting room is open daily and a station attendant is on duty one hour prior to departure and stays 30 minutes after all train arrivals and departures. You can purchase tickets using the Amtrak online ticket app, at in-station ticket kiosks, calling 1-800-USA-Rail or paying the conductor on the train. Team Chevy prefers the app because it’s the easiest, most convenient. You may carry on 2 pieces of luggage under 50 pounds, not including purses, strollers, laptops, etc.

Where To, Ma’am?

The Southbound service is as follows:

#19 Crescent New York to New Orleans departs at 1:17 am

#73 Piedmont Raleigh to Charlotte departs at 9:14 am

#75 Piedmont Raleigh to Charlotte departs at 2:14 pm

#79 Carolinian New York to Charlotte departs at 7:55 pm

The Northbound service is as follows:

#20 Crescent New Orleans to New York departs at 2:32 am

#80 Carolinian Charlotte to New York departs at 7:43 am

#74 Piedmont Charlotte to Raleigh departs at 12:44 pm

#76 Piedmont Charlotte to Raleigh departs at 5:59 pm

Feel Like A Race Car Driver In The New Chevy Camaro

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Models on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at 7:37 PM

Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac has a vehicle you didn’t think you’d ever be able to buy. It’s even more hard-core than our Chevrolet dealer in NC 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE. Pratt & Miller, our road racing partners, and Chevy, are now selling a Camaro GT4.R to the public. Here’s what you need to know before forking over the big bucks.

The Need For Speed

This beast was developed by Chevrolet Racing. It can get up to 480 horsepower thanks to its dry-sump lubricated 6.2-liter V8 engine. That bad boy is bolted to a 6-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox with Magaline pneumatic paddle shifters.

Weight is shaved off thanks to the carbon fiber doors and front fascia. It stays planted to the pavement with the help of a front splitter, dive planes and a 21-way adjustable carbon fiber wing in the rear. You won’t miss the infotainment system and Android Auto capability but you’ll love the motorsports steering wheel with adjustment controls for the Bosch Motorsports ECU. It alters the vehicle’s traction control and antilock brake behavior.

Still not convinced? It has Brembo Motorsport six-piston front calipers, adjustable anti-roll bars and two-way adjustable Ohlin campers. There are Brembo four-piston calipers in the back, which were borrowed from Team Chevy’s Camaro ZL1 street car. It rolls on 18” Forgeline wheels and weighs an impressive 3,131 pounds.

Race On Into Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

How much would you pay for an at-home race car? Does about $250,000 seem too much? Well that’s actually a steal when you compare it to other track-going racers like the Ford Mustang, Aston Martin Vantage or Porsche Cayman. If you’re looking to add this mega machine to your collection, head in to see us at Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac. We know it will knock your socks off.

Tips and Tricks For Storing Your Vehicle

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, October 12th, 2017 at 7:35 PM

Vehicle storage can be short-term, between 3-6 months, or long-term, 6 months or longer. You want to make sure you’re properly prepping your ride before long-term storage. This will help ensure your engine and cylinder surface don’t rust and will prevent any carburetor or fuel issues. Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac wants you to know these tips before parking your vehicle and hoping for the best.

Educate Yourself With These At-Home Steps

  • Fogging Oil – This is a really important step so Team Chevy wants to make sure you know what to do. Fogging oil protects everything from rusting in your intake and exhaust inside the cylinder heat.
  • Your Battery – You can of course disconnect the battery to prevent it from getting any damage. There are also inexpensive chargers or maintainers you can purchase that can be plugged into the wall. They help keep your battery charged long-term.
  • Upgrading Your Spark Plugs – If you currently have sub-par spark plugs, Salisbury Chevrolet suggests upgrading. The best option for your vehicle is OE or OE equivalent plugs.
  • Adding Fuel Additives – This step helps prevent octane loss. What you’ll want to do is empty your fuel tank as much as you can then add the additive. Once it’s added you’ll want to fill the tank back up. This prevents rust from forming inside the fuel tank because of the maintained octane levels.

Leave It Up To The Professionals At Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac

These are steps you can take at home to get your vehicle ready for long-term storage. We know sometimes life happens or you don’t feel comfortable doing things on your own. And that’s okay because you can bring it into our Service Department. The technicians here at Team Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac will get the job done so you don’t have to worry about what you’re coming back to when you’re ready to use your ride again. When in doubt, use a professional and feel free to browse our inventory of new and used vehicles while you wait.
