The 2021 Silverado 1500 is offered in eight trim levels: Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. Buyers can choose from five different engines: a turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant, a V6, two V8s, and a turbodiesel V6 that delivers fuel economy of up to 33 mpg.* All Silverado trims are available with four-wheel drive in place of standard rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is standard on the off-road-focused Trail Boss trim.

If you're looking for the most power, you'll want the 6.2-liter V8. It generates a hearty 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. With this unit under the hood, the Silverado 1500 can pull up to 13,300 pounds. Car and Driver reports this V8 can propel the 2021 Silverado 1500 to 60 mph from a standstill in 6.1 seconds.

Standard features for the base Silverado 1500 WT trim include 17-inch steel wheels, a 40/20/40-split/fold bench seat, four-wheel disc brakes, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and a six-speaker stereo system. The rear bumper comes with CornerSteps, and the cargo box includes 12 tie-downs.

You'll get more standard features as you move up to the higher trims. At the top of the roaster, the High Country trim comes with 20-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats, high-intensity headlights, a power-operated tailgate, a spray-in bed liner, lane departure warning, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, a Bose premium audio system with seven speakers, wireless phone charging and chrome assist steps.

The Silverado has an available multi-camera towing system that can display up to 15 trailer views, including interior views. There's even a view that allows the driver to see right through the trailer virtually.
