2018 Chevrolet Malibu Provides Spacious Comfort
The 2018 Chevrolet Malibu has room for five passengers and is available in four trim levels, listed as L, LS, 1LT and Premier. There’s a hybrid model, which we aren’t reviewing here. All trims get standard front-wheel drive. All models other than the Premier are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 160 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. This engine gets EPA-estimated fuel economy rated at 27 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.*
The striking interior is clad in cloth upholstery, but buyers can choose to upgrade to leather. Other available features include power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel. There’s ample room in the front and back seats, along with lots of legroom to stretch out.
Transporting your stuff or picking up a load of groceries is no problem with the Malibu’s spacious trunk, which contains 15.8 feet of cargo space. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats make carrying long objects easy, too. The trunk contains release handles that make folding down the seats a simple task.
